CIPD launches new committee and 2014 Programme of Events

Building Organisational Effectiveness; Sustaining Competitiveness is the overall theme for the CIPD Western Region’s Programme of Events for 2013-2014, the launch of which will take place on September 11 at 6pm in the Clayton Hotel.

To launch the event, Jeff Turner, Head of Learning and Development for EMEA with Facebook will share his experiences of developing managerial talent at Facebook.

His key message will be “Your Managers Trump Your Brand”; Jeff has over 20 years experience in industry with high profile companies such as O2, AOL and of course Facebook.

“We are excited about the range of topics and quality of presenters that we have secured for our events this year.  Each event deals with topical HR issues and our high calibre speakers are leaders in their respective fields,” said incoming Committee Chairperson Gail Quinn.

Overall the programme of events will once again have broad appeal across private and public sectors and will be of interest to HR practitioners, managers, supervisors, academics and students alike.
