CHURCH OF IRELAND TO DISCUSS BISHOP VACANCY IN TUAM

Anglicans from all over Ireland are holding a special synod tomorrow to discuss the Church of Ireland Bishop vacancy in Tuam, Killala and Achonry.

The diocese has no bishop since Bishop Richard Henderson left Galway on the 31st of January.

They’re expected to discuss a Bill proposing a delay in electing a new Bishop for Tuam, Killala and Achonry until the diocese’s needs are examined.

It’s understood this may take until next year to complete.
