Christy Moore at Loughrea Hotel

The legendary Christy Moore will be in the Loughrea Hotel next Wednesday, April 29, for an intimate concert with the Máirtín O’Connor Band. This concert, and another, on Thursday night in the Armada Hotel, Spanish Point, Co Clare, will be recorded live for a new album.

The Máirtín O’Connor band, featuring Galway accordion maestro Máirtín alongside fellow City man, Jimmy Higgins on percussion, Sligo’s Seamie O’Dowd on accordion and Tyrone fiddle and banjo player Cathal Hayden, have guested regularly with Christy Moore in recent times. They add an extra dimension to his shows, which will be captured on the new album.

The Loughrea show will start at 8pm and tickets are available from the hotel reception, 091 880 088, or from Ticketmaster, which applies an administration charge.
