Choose your Mrs Higgins for Christmas!

Mrs Higgins – the star of Woodie’s much loved Christmas ad – is back, prompting the DIY, Home and Garden store to ask the public: ‘Who is Your Mrs Higgins?’

They want to know about the special someone that you’d like to show your appreciation for – and if you impress the judges, you could be in with a shout of winning some of the €10,000 worth of Woodie’s gift cards up for grabs.

Last Christmas, the endearing Mrs Higgins caused the country to shed a tear or two at how a simple gesture from her young teenage neighbour, like fixing her creaky gate, beautifully demonstrated the true spirt of Christmas.

It wasn’t just this thoughtfulness that pulled on our heartstrings though – it was because we were all reminded of our own Mrs Higgins; that person who is cherished in our own lives.

It could be a friendly face or a helpful hand in the community that makes a difference to your day.

It might be your Granny who makes family dinner every Sunday ; the neighbour who you can always depend on for a chat and the loan of a lawnmower, or maybe it’s as simple as the person who gets up to turn off the Big Light when everyone else is already comfy on the couch.

It can be anyone, as long as they are important to you.
