CHINESE MAN REMANDED IN CUSTODY OVER MENLOUGH DRUGS SEIZURE

A 27 year old Chinese man charged in connection with a major drugs seizure in East Galway yesterday has been remanded in custody.

Hai Sin Chi with an address at Clovewood, Derrylissane, Menlough and a permanent address on Wellington Road in Cork appeared before Galway District Court.

Hai Sin Chi is charged with possession of drugs contrary to Section 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, sale and supply contrary to Section 15 of the Act and cultivation contrary to Section 17 of the Act.
