Cheapest homes in Galway – with a €24,500 price tag
They’re the cheapest new properties on the market in Galway at the moment – three and four-bed homes in Williamstown for the equivalent of just €24,500.
The four houses in the Bealach na Céartan development, which is one kilometre from the town centre, are being sold at auction in one lot with a reserve price of €98,000.
The properties, which are set on a site area of 2.78 acres comprise 3 three-bed semi-detached homes – each measuring around 1,300 square feet and a four-bed detached measuring 1,500 sq ft.
The homes are among more than 260 lots which will go under the hammer at an Allsop Space auction in Dublin on September 16.
Just two years ago, Williamstown delivered historic selling prices when seven terraced houses and six sites in the Lough na Corra development sold for just €100,000 at auction – that equated to less than €14,300 per unit for the houses alone.
Meanwhile, in Clonbur, nine holiday homes are being sold with a reserve price of €575,000 – the equivalent of just under €64,000 for each unit. Again, all are being sold as one lot.
The lot comprises 6 three-bed and 3 two-bed terraced in the Clos na Feirme development, which is around 7.5km from Cong. The three-beds range from 1,650 sq ft to 1,980 sq ft, while the two beds are 1,300 sq ft to 1,450 sq ft.
In Athenry, three large detached homes in Caiseleán Rí, Athenry are on sale for €350,000 in one lot – which equates to less than €117,000 each. Two of the four-bed (1,380 sq ft) homes are currently rented, for €7,800 and €7,200 per annum.
