CHARITY SAYS HOMELESSNESS IN GALWAY IS DOUBLE GOVERNMENT ESTIMATE

Homelessness in Galway, Limerick and Cork is twice as bad as official government figures according to a leading charity.

Focus Ireland claims there is a total of 767 homeless households in the three cities.

That’s double the 371 figure given in the government’s 2008 Housing Needs Assessment.
