Date Published: 13-Jul-2008
The Galway car sales company that was found to be selling clocked cars is part owned by the chairman of the Progressive Democrats Peter Wyer.
Wyer is a minority shareholder and director of Arch Motors Limited in Westside who last week gave a formal undertaking to The National Consumer Agency that it wont sell clocked cars in the future.
On February 19th this year the NCA identified three motor vehicles which were for sale by Arch Motors with a reduced mileage reading.

This is the second car clocking case to come to arise in Galway in recent months.
Car dealer Kevin McGann trading as Kilgarve Cars was convicted of selling a clocked car at Ballinasloe District Court on the 18th of June
