CERVICAL SMEAR TESTING TO CEASE AT GALWAY HOSPITAL

Cervical smears will no longer be tested at University Hospital Galway.

It’s reported that the appointment of US healtcare giant, Quest Diagnostics, to carry out the tests, now means many public laboratories across the country will be forced to close.

The lab at University Hospital Galway is said to be affected by the move.
