CEO OF CITY VEC EXPECTS CHALLENGES IN MERGER

The CEO of Galway city VEC says many challenges will be faced in merging both the Galway city and county VECs.

The merger of the two administrations is part of the Government’s plans to cut the 33 VECs in operation nationwide, to just 16.

This will involve the merging of the VEC in Athenry and the VEC in Galway city

However the move is not expected to effect staff because of the terms of the Croke park deal.
