Caution urged on Galway roads with further flooding
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardai across Galway are advising motorists to drive with care this morning following heavy rain and strong winds last night and overnight
There are reports of spot flooding on many routes across the country with Galway, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork, Kildare, Limerick, Meath, and parts of Roscommon worst affected
There are a number of floods around the county, some still in place since last week’s storm while others have emerged in the most recent heavy rain
Some of the most prominent are on the N59 Galway/Moycullen road at Bushypark and at Moycullen and on the Coolarne Road in Turloughmore on the Athenry side of the national school
Gardai are advising not to drive through water unless you are certain that it is not too deep for your vehicle
