CARRAROE BOIL WATER NOTICE STILL IN PLACE

A boil water notice, which it was hoped would be lifted this weekend, remains in place in Carraroe.

The boil notice was imposed following an oil spill last month.

Water samples are being tested consistently and so far, results have been coming back clear.

However, a boil notice remains in place for the Carraroe Public Water Scheme and the Camus Group Water Scheme until public health officials deem it safe.

All water must be boiled before drinking and for use in food preparation.
