CARERS CAMPAIGN LAUNCH FOR GALWAY

A Census campaign aimed at Galway Carers will be launched in the city tomorrow.[3/3]

The ‘Carers Count’ Campaign aims to quantify the unpaid work of full and part-time carers in Galway in the next Census on April 10th.

The last Census in 2006 estimated that there were just over 9 thousand 200 family carers in Galway.

However the Carers Association believes the number is much higher, but hasn’t been documented.

The ‘Carers Count’ Campaign will be launched at the Imperial Hotel in Eyre Square tomorrow morning.
