Candlelight vigil

Candlelight vigil for victims of cervical smear scandal. Victims of the cervical smear scandal were remembered at Eyre Square on Sunday evening with a candlelight vigil organised by Galway Council of Trade Unions. Following the publication of the Scally Report, the Galway Council of Trade Unions decided to remember and pay tribute to the late Emma Mhic Mhathuna and other victims of the scandal on Nollaig na mBan which traditionally celebrates women.
