CANCER CHIEF SEEKS MEETING ON GALWAY RADIOGRAPHY DELAYS

The chief executive of a leading cancer charity wants an urgent meeting with the Taoiseach over the delay in building radiotherapy services across the country including in Galway.

John McCormack of the Irish Cancer Society is branding as a disgrace the delay in building the centres in Galway, Dublin and Cork.

The services were announced last year but the department of health still hasn’t given them the go ahead.
