Camilla Parker Bowles to visit Galway school
One Galway primary school is expected to be hosting a royal visit later this month.
Camilla Duchess of Cornwall is believed to be planning a visit to St Nicholas’ Claddagh National School on Tuesday, May 19 as part of her trip to Ireland with her husband Prince Charles.
Principal of St. Nicholas’s National School, the Claddagh, Michael Gallagher said yesterday: “We are really looking forward to her visit”.
This is part of a four-day official visit to the Republic and Northern Ireland by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall from May 19-22 at the request of the British government.
Planning is still underway for their itinerary, which will include official and private engagements.
The couple are expected to travel to Mullaghmore in County Sligo, where Prince Charles’ granduncle and godfather, Lord Louis Mounbatten, was killed when his boat was bombed by the IRA in 1979.
