Calls to housing charity up by one third in November
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Calls to Threshold in Galway rose by more than a third in November.
Threshold’s Galway office took nearly 2,000 calls last month from the western region, an increase of over a third compared to October.
More than 100 of the people who called were at risk of losing their homes.
Nationally Threshold took over 7,500 calls last month.
Regional Services Manager with Threshold, Diarmuid O’Sullivan, said the increase in demand for Threshold’s services is worrying.
