CALLS FOR OCCUPY GALWAY PROTESTORS TO LEAVE

A city councillor is calling on the "Occupy Galway" protestors to move on from their Eyre Square campsite.

Councillor Michael Crowe says the camp has grown larger in recent days and is now a blight on the landscape for visitors entering the city.

He’s calling on the Gardai and City Council to take decisive action to ensure local business and ratepayers do not suffer any longer.

The protestors erected tents in the city centre almost two weeks now in solidarity with the worldwide Occupy Wall Street movement.
