CALLS FOR FULL INQUIRY FOLLOWING UHG SCAN ERROR

A full public inquiry must be held following revelations that a woman was wrongly told she miscarried at University Hospital Galway.

That’s the view of Chairperson of the Western Health Forum Councillor Padraig Conneelly.

Martha O’Neill Brennan from Athenry was misdiagnosed by a gynaecologist at UHG after a scan at the hospital.

Councillor Conneely will meet with HSE Regional Director of Operations John Hennessy later today.

He says he’ll be demanding a full investigation.
