CALL ON COUNCIL TO RECOUP COSTS FROM N6 CONTRACTORS

There’s a call for Galway County Council to recoup costs for reinstating roads damaged during the construction of the N6.

Councillor Jim Cuddy claims heavy goods vehicles involved in building the new N6 are damaging local roads and the County Council is “footing the bill for ongoing repairs.”

He says the cost of the repairs should be recouped from the contractors, as the Council cannot continue repairing the roads at the expense of other roads.
