CALL FOR QUICKER ACTION ON PLANNING ENFORCEMENT COMPLAINTS

The County Council has been called on to do something about the long delays in dealing with complaints made under planning enforcement regulations.

Cllr. Jim Cuddy says some cases can go on for years, and cause a lot of distress to people who’ve been aggrieved by breaches of planning regulations.

Cllr. Cuddy says that often people alleged to be in breach of regulations end up being granted permission, instead of the case going to court and being dealt with.

Cllr. Cuddy is urging the Council to come to a conclusion faster on enforcement complaints
