CALL FOR PROPOSED NEW CONNEMARA ROAD TO BE BUILT ALONG MOUNTAIN ROUTE

Representatives from eleven communities in Connemara have called for the proposed new road from Galway to Screebe to be built along the mountain route to the North of Spiddal and Cois Fharraige.

The deputations from various parts of South Connemara attended a meeting of local Councillors at Galway County Council offices this week.

The meeting was also attended by a representative from the consultancy firm that is planning the new road.
