CALL FOR OVERCROWDING PLAN FOR GALWAY’S PUBLIC HOSPITALS

There are calls for a contingency plan on patient overcrowding at Galway University Hospitals.

Councillor Colm Keaveney claims there is currently no plan for patient overflow at UHG and Merlin Park hospitals.

Figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation reveal that almost 150 patients were on trollies at UHG between Monday and Friday of last week.
