CALL FOR MOTOR TAXATION OFFICE IN TUAM

A car tax office in Tuam is "badly needed" according to a Town Councillor.

At a meeting of the Town Council this week, Councillor Tom Reilly called on the County Council to provide car taxing facilities at the new Council offices on High Street.

He said that such a facility would provide jobs and also provide a much needed service.

However there was a mixed reaction to the proposal with Councillor Eamon Kitt suggesting a survey to determine the demand for such a facility.
