CALL FOR MORE FUNDING FOR GALWAY HOSPICE

Galway Hospice is underfunded and can’t meet demand for its services, according to Galway West T.D, Brian Walsh.

The matter was raised in the Dáil this week [8/11] when Deputy Walsh asked Minister of State at the Department of Health, Róisín Shortall to address the situation.

3 and a half million euro has been provided for the 12-bed inpatient unit this year, reduced from 3.7 million over the past two years.
