CALL FOR MORE COUNTY COMMUNITY ALERT SCHEMES

More needs to be done to set up Community Alert and Neighbourhood Watch schemes in the county.

That’s according to chairperson of the County Joint Policing Committee, Councillor Mary Hoade.

She told last night’s meeting of the committee that public representatives need to get more involved in the setting up of these schemes.

Councillor Hoade believes both schemes are vital in protecting the most vulnerable in local communities.
