CALL FOR MEMORIAL TO MANUELA ON MILITARY PATH

Cllr. Mary Leahy has written to Irish Rail to request that a memorial stone be erected on The Line in memory of Manuela Reido who was killed in the area earlier this month

Cllr Leahy feels would be a mark of respect and provide great comfort to Manuela’s parents when they visit Galway city in the near future

Cllr Leahy has also made representations to Irish Rail to provide a number of safety measures on the Military Line Renmore, including lighting and resurfacing the pathway

Following consultation with GMIT students, she’s requested a number of measures, such as the erection of signs in at least 3 languages, to alert people who don’t have a local knowledge, to the dangers
