CALL FOR INHOUSE LEGAL DEPARTMENT AT CITY COUNCIL

A local councillor is calling for the establishment of an in-house legal team at Galway City Council.

Fine Gael Councillor Frank Fahy says the in-house model would be more cost effective.

He says the outsourcing model currently in operation is no longer viable in the current economic climate.

He’s due to raise the issue at this evening’s meeting of the city council.
