CALL FOR HSE TO EXTEND FLOOD RELIEF SERVICES

There’s a call for Community Welfare offices in Galway to extend their opening hours to support people affected by flooding.

Fine Gael East Galway T.D. Ulick Burke wants the HSE to boost its staff numbers to deal with the volume of applicants for the Government’s 10 million euro Flood relief fund.

Deputy Burke is also calling on the Government to clarify how the fund will be means tested.
