The Minister for the Environment, John Gormley is being called on to provide funding to “clean up” the old Tynagh Mines site in East Galway

Galway East Deputy, Ulick Burke says mining ceased on the site in 1982 and since then he says the site has been abandoned

Deputy Burke says the Minister should provide funding immediately to rehabilitate the old Tynagh Mines site, which the EPA has described as a “timebomb”.
