CALL FOR ESCALATION OF PUBLIC PROTEST IN CITY
Date Published: 29-Sep-2010
There needs to be an escalation of public protests on the streets of Galway.
That’s according to the Galway Says No to Health Cuts group which organised today’s protest outside Anglo Irish Bank on Forster Street.
The protestors marched to Eyre Square where a demonstration was being held by over 200 people from the community and voluntary sector.
It follows revelations yesterday that €12 million a month would have to be shaved from the HSE West’s budget up until the end of the year.
