CALL FOR BIGGER DISCOUNT ON COMMERCIAL WATER CHARGES

The City Council is being urged to offer a bigger reduction on non-domestic water charges for households in Galway which were affected by the Boil Notice.

Councillor Padraig Conneely says that after 5 months of “no clean drinking water” the water charges should be discounted further.

When the water problem initially occurred the City Council offered businesses in Galway a 10 percent reduction in water charges but Councillor Conneely wants that increased.
