CALL FOR ATHENRY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

Athenry urgently needs a sewage treatment plant if it’s to continue to develop economically.

That’s according to Senator Lorraine Higgins, who says the town has grown significantly in recent years, and can continue to do so with the right infrastructure.

The recent purchase by the IDA of two hundred and forty acres near the town for industrial development indicates future growth for the town.

Senator Higgins says she will bring this to the attention of the Environment minister Phil Hogan as a matter of urgency.
