A Galway city councillor is calling for An Post to move its parcel collection point back to the city centre in the run up to christmas.

Residents who are unavailable when An Post delivers parcels to their door, have to travel outside the city to the facility on the Tuam Road

Councillor Colette Connolly says that the distance is difficult for many people, especially when there’s no public transport service

Councillor Connolly says that An Post in Eglington street should upgrade their service so that people can collect their parcels in town

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for An Post says they offer customers a range of options before they have to travel to the Tuam Road centre to collect their parcels
