BURGLARS USE CROWBARS TO SMASH THEIR WAY INTO GALWAY HOMES
Date Published: 11-Nov-2012
CASH and jewellery has been stolen as burglars, alleged to have used crowbars, smashed their way into homes in parts of Galway and Mayo last evening (Saturday 10/11).
The burglaries happened between 4 and 7 pm at homes in Headford, Shrule, Hollymount and Craughwell.
In Headford a house on a high area off the main Galway Road, on the Headford side of The Trading Post shop, was targeted around tea time last evening.
Gardai in Headford hope that somebody may have noticed the gang acting suspiciously in this area around that time.
They were in a silver car, thought to be a Toyota, and while it had Longford registeration numbers these may have been false.
In Craughwell they were disturbed by the owners of the house but made their getaway.
Any information to Headford Gardai at 093-35412 or any Garda Station.
