BUDGET WON’T AFFECT NEW GALWAY TO TUAM ROAD

It’s been confirmed that the new Galway to Tuam road is to proceed under Public Private Partnership.

Galway West Fianna Fail TD and Chairman of the Oireachtas Transport Committee Frank Fahey says the budget will not affect this road

The National Roads Authority is continuing to progress planning of the road and preparations for the PPP tendering process

It’s hoping for a favourable decision from An Bord Pleanala on the Galway/Tuam sections following the oral hearing earlier this year
