An English man, convicted in 2000 of raping a tourist at Nimmo’s Pier in the city, has been remanded in continuing custody by the High Court.

British authorities are seeking the extradition of 47 year old Mark Trayton Smith of Cheltenham, England.

They claim Mr. Trayton Smith has breached the conditions of a licence for early release from a British prison during the mid-90s.
