Branagh Theatre’s Romeo & Juliet live at the Eye

The Branagh Theatre Company’s production of Romeo & Juliet which is currently being staged in the Garrick Theatre, in London’s West End will be screened live at the Eye Cinema on Thursday next, July 7, at 7.15pm.

Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh direct Richard Madden (Game of Thrones, Cinderella) and Lily James (Downton Abbey, Cinderella) as Romeo and Juliet, Derek Jacobi as Mercutio and Meera Syal as The Nurse, in Shakespeare’s renowned tale of forbidden love.

Branagh has praised Madden and James for having a “passion and excitement for Shakespeare” that he feels could draw younger audiences who have seen them in the live-action version of Cinderella.
