Boy airlifted to hospital following Clifden collision

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A young boy is now in a stable condition at University Hospital Galway following a crash in Clifden today.
The seven year old child was airlifed to UHG following the incident which occurred about 3 miles north of Clifden, at about 10.30 this morning.
It’s understood the car collided with a tow-truck at Glenbricken.
The driver of the car was removed to hospital while the boy, who was a passenger in the rear of the vehicle, was airlifted to UHG.
Gardaí had closed a section of the N59 from Clifden towards Letterfrack to facilitate an investigation, however it has now reopened.
