BOMB SQUAD CALLED TO EXAMINE DEVICE IN CLONBOO

Gardaí are awaiting the arrival of the bomb squad from Athlone after the discovery of a suspicious device in Clonboo, Corrandulla today. [22/12]

The device was found by the owner of a house in the village this afternoon and Gardaí were called to the scene.

The area is being preserved by Gardaí awaiting the arrival of explosive experts.

Gardaí say they can’t confirm at this point if the device is viable.
