BODY OF MISSING CITY WOMAN RECOVERED

The body of a missing city woman has been recovered.

The discovery was made in the River Corrib near Menlo at around 4 yesterday afternoon [May 20].

It followed a search by the Corrib Mask Search and Rescue Team.

The city woman, aged in her 40s, went missing from her home in the Grattan Road area sometime before 8am on Saturday morning.

Gardai are treating the incident as a tragedy.
