Board postpones decision on Knocknacarra discount store

Galway Bay fm newsroom – An Bord Pleanála has postponded its decision on plans for a discount store in Knocknacarra.
The development led by Florence Thomas is now the subject of a third party appeal and was due to be decided this week.
The site for the store on Ballymoneen Road is adjacent to Blake roundabout and would comprise a single-storey building including signage and trolley bays.
The plan was approved by City Hall in March subject to 26 conditions but was later appealed.
The higher planning authority board was due to make a final decision this week but has requested more time.
It’s now due to be decided in early September.
