Blue Teapot programme makes funding scheme shortlist

Blue Teapot Theatre Company has been shortlisted for this year’s Coca-Cola Thank You Fund, a nationwide initiative that gives not-for-profit, voluntary and charitable organisations the opportunity to promote activity and healthy lifestyle programmes within their communities.

A total prize fund of €125,000 is being made available to innovative projects that impact on the quality of life of participants.

Blue Teapot plans to deliver a multi-week Physical Theatre Activity Programme to people with intellectual disabilities.

This project will give those members of society, who have limited access to physical activities, a fun and creative process in which to engage physically.

For shortlisted projects, the final decision on who receives the grants will be split via votes cast equally between an online public vote and an expert judging panel – voting ends on Monday.

This nomination comes hot on the heels of an Allianz Business to Arts Dublin Airport Authority Art Award win alongside two nominations for Dublin Fringe Festival Awards and being shortlisted earlier this year for an Irish Times Theatre Award and AONTAS Star Award.
