BLACKOUTS IN NORTH EAST GALWAY

The ESB is reporting electricity blackouts in the Lavally, Tuam and Athenry areas this evening.

There is a problem on the main power line running from Glenamaddy to Kilkerrin all the way to Lavally.

A spokesperson said the main line has tripped out.

Repair crews are on the way to the scene and it’s hoped to have power restored by tonight.
