CITY TRIBUNE
Bite-size writing classes in Irish available online
Recently appointed Laureate na nÓg Áine Ní Ghlinn is among the authors taking part in a series of short online classes on the craft of writing, being hosted by Spiddal publishers, Cló Iar-Chonnacht
Áine is one of a team of Irish-language authors sharing their expertise in the ‘Rang Beag Scríbhneoireachta’ series, which began this Wednesday. The others are Áine Durkin, Anna Heussaff, Réaltán Ní Leannáin and Alex Hijmans.
Over five weeks, each one will focus on a particular aspect of the craft of writing, giving tips and instructions on their approach to that part of the process. Each will speak for about five minutes.
Poet, blogger and songwriter Áine Durkin, led the way this week. For the first episode, she spoke about the beginning of the creative process and the methods she uses to collect ideas and to bring them to the next stage.
