Birth rates fall at UHG and Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The HSE has recorded a decline in birth rates at University Hopsital Galway and Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe.
Figures provided by the Saolta Hospital Group show a decline in birth rates at Portiuncula Hospital of over 8 percent in the period from 2016 to 2017.
1,668 babies were born at the Ballinasloe facility in 2017, compared to 1,817 in 2016.
