There’s a bid to improve fire safety near the Docks in the city

EnWest Ltd has applied to Galway City Council for permission to build a fire fighting area at Galway Habour Enterprise Park

The area will include a pump house with oil and foam and water storage tanks

A decision is expected from city planners in the next few weeks
