BID TO BLOCK NURSING HOME AND CHURCH IN LOUGHREA

A major new mixed-use development planned for Loughrea has hit a stumbling block.

A decision to allow a nursing home, medical centre, offices, shops, a church and social centre be built at Mountpleasant has been appealled to An Bord Pleanála.

Galway County Council granted Tony Williams permission to build an 88 bed nursing home, medical centre, offices, 3 retail units, 20 independent living units, a social centre and a church at Mountpleasant.
