BENCH WARRANT FOR CASTLEGAR MAN FACING MOTORING OFFENCES
Date Published: 20-Nov-2007
A bench warrant has been issued for a Castlegar man who failed to appear before the court yesterday to face charges of several motoring offences.
James Lynch, Two-Mile-Ditch, Castlegar, made the headlines following his appearance before last week’s court
His antics prompted Judge Mary Fahy to comment that the courtroom would need a revolving door to cater for his actions
On that occasion last week James Lynch had spent half the day going in and out of the courtroom telling friends when their cases were called and yet, when it came to his turn he was not present in the courtroom
Judge Mary Fahy remarked that he was “the biggest messer”, who seemed to be haunting the place at times when he was not actually required to be in court himself.
When Lynch finally showed up, the judge adjourned the matter to yesterday’s court sitting.
When Lynch’s name was called yesterday he was nowhere to be seen
He faced many charges involving several counts of dangerous driving, drunken driving and Pubic Order offences in prosecutions brought by three Gardai.
