BEDS TO CLOSE AT INTENSIVE CARE UNIT AT UHG

More bed closures have been announced at University Hospital Galway.

Up to 30 beds are expected to close with the closure of St. Michaels ward, while the Intensive care unit will have its bed number reduced by two.

This follows an amalgamation of the Cardiac ICU and the Main ICU at the city hospital leaving just 12 beds open.
